Electricity in France

France Electricity

If you are planning foreign travel to Paris, or anywhere in France, please ensure you pack the right electricity adapters for your small appliances. Otherwise, you will defiantly get yourself into trouble.

Electricity in France comes out of the outlets at 230-240 volts. If your appliance is not meant to be used in a power band of 110-240 V, it will burn out very quickly when you plug it in a French socket and destroy the equipment. Please ensure you bring the correct electricity converter on your travel. The outlets in France generally accept 1 type of plug, that being with 2 round pins. So if your electrical appliance does not have that plug configuration, then you may need a plug adapter as well.

Look for Dual Voltage appliance or the tag "100 –240 Volts", 50-60Hz. All you will need is an adapter for the plug.
