Delta Dawn Details #1
1. We have reservations for dinner at our Athens Hotel Titania in the Olive Garden Terrace Restaurant on Thursday, March 16, should you wish to dine there. This is not the same restaurant where we will have two other dinners in the hotel. I need to know WHO wishes to dine at the Olive Garden restaurant with a view of the Parthenon at night! Please let me know via email or message if you wish to eat at this beautiful venue. It will be one of only two dinners the tour does not cover. By Tuesday morning (2/7) please respond yes or no, who, and who is sitting at a table together. I must get this reservation back to Perrine early next week. If you choose not to do this, we will give you a list of some restaurants in the area. Here is the link to the menu: http://www.titania.gr/uploads/docs/2016/06/251.pdfWe are going!!!! OPA!
If I do not hear from you by Tuesday morning, I will assume you wish to have dinner somewhere besides this restaurant.
Stay tuned for more Delta Dawn Details!

2. Euros: It's time to think about Euros. The Euro is at $1.0699 as of February 7. Which means 1 Euro = $1.0699. We recommend you purchase some Euros ($150 - $200 worth) to have some available when we land in Athens. Euros at your bank will cost you approximately an additional $6.00 - $8.00 per 100 Euros. ATM’s are available in Greece to purchase more. Also, your major company credit card will be accepted at most stores.

3. Just a reminder especially for those who were unable to make it to the toga party....
Our hotels, while better than most, will not have wash cloths in the bathrooms. I buy a pack of 18 poor grade terry wash cloths at Walmart for under $4. (3.92, I think). They are available in all white or assorted colors. After a long day of sightseeing I like to scrub the day off! I use and discard so I don't carry damp ones. I gave away a few of these at toga party. I have two packs of 9 left. Anybody?
4. We are flying American Airlines and British Airways (a partner with AA). AAdvantage is American Airlines frequent flyer program. Sign up if you are not a member. https://www.aa.com/loyalty/enrollment/enroll
5. Contact your bank and credit card company. Let them know you will be traveling to Greece by way of London March 10 – March 19. We will be in London Heathrow Airport on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 19. Travelers often Duty-Free shop during our stopovers, so you would want to tell your bank you will be in London.

6. Contact your phone company and secure an International Plan for your cell phone. Roaming charges without a plan are very expensive! Wi-Fi will be available in the hotels.

8. Pack early. Remember that there is a 50-lb. limit on your checked bag, so weigh your suitcase before going to the airport! AA calculates the size limits of your bag by adding the total outside dimensions of each bag, length + width + height.
For all regions, your checked baggage allowance is:
Dimension: 62 in (length + width + Height)
Weight: 50 lbs.
